Before You Travel

What to Pack

Winter

Winters in the Poconos can be cold and wet. Typically, snow can be found from late December through March. If you’re traveling during the winter, we recommend driving an AWD car or carrying chains. You’ll need to pack for fridged cold to prepare for the worst. Temperatures can range from -10 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Summer

Summertime in the Poconos is what we all live for! Dress for warm weather and lake days, often between 75 and 90 degrees.

Fall and Spring

Fall and spring are quite variable, and you are subject to luck. We have worn shorts as early as March, yet there can be days in early June that mirror those in February. Temperatures are usually comfortable, say 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit (10-18 Celsius). Check the weather, dress in layers, and be prepared for anything.
